LSU Custom College Golf Cart

Golf cart accessories are so much more than just cup holders and floor mats. Today, you can accessorize your golf cart with pretty much anything, including custom golf cart designs of your favorite college sports team. Whether you root for state or the other guys, your alma mater (or your imaginary alma mater) can now grace your golf cart with pride. There are three things you need to concern yourself with when customizing your golf cart: choosing the right designer, the quality/longevity of the design and cost and time frame.

Custom decals may not improve your golf swing, but it will improve your school pride. While it won’t be hard deciding which decal you want, it will be challenging to find the right designer for your design. If you are getting only a decal for the side of your golf cart, make sure you work with a company that offers “custom” design and not just “out of the box” stickers to throw on your cart. The reason behind this is that most golf carts, even ones within the same model, will all vary just slightly. You need to make sure your decal is the right size and fit for the the placement. You wear your school colors with pride, so your cart should, too. If you plan on getting the entire cart painted, you will want to make sure it is the exact color(s) of your school. Do you research and find a custom designer who uses only top notch, state-of-the-art equipment.

The next thing you want to ensure is the longevity of the design. Since your cart will be in the sun, rain, snow and wind, you need a design that will be able to withstand all these elements. Make sure your decal has an acrylic or other type of glaze to extend its lifecycle. Also, look for the designers who offer a warranty to ensure the quality of work, usually 3-6 months is standard. If you can find one with a lifetime guarantee, I would suggest going with them.

Cost of your golf cart makeover will vary heavily depending on detail, colors (some colors cost more than others) and size of your golf cart. Most custom designs tend to run fairly reasonable, depending on size and detail. You can usually find a company with a starting price of $200-$350 and up from there. Most custom jobs can take up to three weeks and possibly longer, depending on the detail required. As long as you find a custom designer you are comfortable with, that will last for as long as your cart, and is in your price range, your decal will hopefully be as popular as your college team.
